Sometimes a delicious seafood-flavor dish with some sweetness could be really simple!
There are at least 12 steps to make this dish. Hey, don’t think that’s a lot - you will easily tell that each step is extremely trivial. The most important element of this dish I guess is the sugar: sweetness is the key representing the so-called “umami”.
Ingredients
6
Scallops (frozen or fresh)
Broccoli
1
Garlic
2
teaspoon Sugar
1
teaspoon Oyster Sauce
1.5
teaspoon Soy Sauce
1
teaspoon Rice wine / White wine
Steps
- Step 1: Chop the garlic into grinded size
- Step 2: If the scallops are frozen, wash the scallops in water with a pinch of salt for 5 minutes
- Step 3: Wash the broccoli in water and rest for 10 minutes
- Step 4: Put the broccoli in boiling water (w/ a little bit salt) for 1 minutes so that broccoli is fully cooked
- Step 5: Season the scallops with salt and pepper
- Step 6: Mix the sugar, oyster sauce, soy sauce and one teaspoon of water together. That is the sauce.
- Step 7: Pre-heat a frying pan with a pinch of olive oil - fry the scallops with medium heat. Take the scallops out after turning golden.
- Step 8: Put the garlic in the same frying pan
- Step 9: Add the scallops inside the pan. Add the rice wine/white wine immediately
- Step 10: Add some water to deglaze the roasted.
- Step 11: Put in the broccoli
- Step 12: Add the sauce into the pan and mix
- Step 13: Finished
